A Secret Meadow
Welcome to our first Story, I really am so glad you are here.
This week I wanted to show you one of our weddings full of British Flowers. Here at Bridge Row Flowers we always aim to use British Flowers and or foliage. Some months we can use 100% British flowers and others we might use the foliage foraged from just outside the workshop and the local experts, it all depends on the season which is why I take so much inspiration from nature.
The theme for this wedding was A Wild Flower Meadow. J&E came to me after buying flowers from my road side flower stall, we sat together one afternoon and talked all about their day and dug into what they loved and hoped for, who they are and why they chose their venue. The more I know and understand about my couples, the more I can create wedding arrangement individually around them.
The wedding was a very hot July which is a perfect month for British Flowers. We was spoilt for choice with garden roses, poppies, phlox, dahlias, daisies, larkspurs, sweet peas, cosmos, asters, nigella and many many more. All grown less than 10 miles from my workshop. British flower farmers are the most dedicated hardworking people you will meet and I absolute love learning from them. I must save all my thoughts on flower farmers for another week because I could talk about them all day.
The Venue was Hobbit Hill in the Ribble Valley, with stunning views and a unique ceremony in the woods. We created a colorful floral wedding arch and two milk churn arrangements to frame the ceremony. We create a floral arrangement on the swing hiding amongst the woods. For the reception we designed meadow tables centrepieces sat on a log slice. Delicate wildflowers growing out of the moss base connecting the room to the outside. The top table had a beautiful long meadow arrangement sitting Infront of the bride and groom.
The bridal bouquet, a selection of beautiful wildflowers with pops of colour, lots of texture and movement and a sweet scent. The bridesmaids had a smaller bouquet to complement the bride. All created using a beautiful blend of wildflowers meadow colours.
This beautiful wedding happened over the strange days of Covid restrictions. Thankfully the day went to plan with complete perfection. J&E and all their loved ones danced into the night amongst the beautiful views over the Ribble Vally. They are a couple I will always be thankful to for trusting me to bring their day to life.
All our mechanics are environmentally friendly and we do not use any floral foam. Bridge Row Flowers have a great passion for being environmentally friendly.
